Surveying Education

Looking for courses in surveying? Look to CNM. The two-year Surveying Engineering program at CNM is designed to meet the requirements for an Associate of Science degree and prepare students to pursue of Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering at New Mexico State Universityor another institution.

Students should understand that the requirements for licensure as a Surveyor vary from state to state. Licensure in New Mexico requires a 4-year degree as well as other requirements.

The National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) sponsors a comprehensive national certification program for survey technicians. The Certified Survey Technician Board (CST Board), which administers this program, recognizes the importance of technicians to the surveying and mapping profession.

These course are the only ones officially endorsed by NSPS for training in Levels I, II, and III.    More Information…
